Command Master Chief Rios, a native of Springfield, Massachusetts, enlisted in the United States Navy February 1996. Following graduation from basic training at Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois, she reported to Storekeeper Accession Training in Meridian, Mississippi. She later graduated from Senior Enlisted Academy (Class 53), Naval Leadership and Ethics Center Command Master Chief/Chief of the Boat Course (Class 160), Executive Leadership Symposium (Oct 2019), Navy Senior Leader Seminar (May 2020), Keystone Course (Jun 2021), and earned a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Grantham University.
Command Master Chief Rios completed sea duty assignments at Fleet Logistics Support Squadron SIX TWO, Brunswick, Maine; and Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadron TWELVE, Williamsburg, Virginia.
Her shore tours include Naval Reserve Readiness Command Region Thirteen, Great Lakes, Illinois; Naval and Marine Corps Reserve Center Providence, Rhode Island; Naval Air Station Atlanta, Georgia; Recruit Training Command, Great Lakes, Illinois; and Navy Reserve Forces Command, Norfolk, Virginia.
In 2016 she was selected as a Command Master Chief and reported to NOSC Ventura County, CA where she led the command in sustaining mobilization requirements for 48 reserve units comprised of 1000 personnel. In March 2018 she reported to serve as the Command Master Chief for the Commander of Maritime Expeditionary Security Group ONE (MESG 1), San Diego, CA, where she led the man, train and equip efforts for three Maritime Expeditionary Security Squadrons and forward deployed Detachment Guam comprised of 2400 Sailors. May 2021 she assumed duties as the Command Master Chief for Navy Region Southeast Reserve Component Command serving 19 Navy Operational Support Centers. Currently, she is the Command Master Chief for Commander, Navy Reserve Forces Command Norfolk.
CMDCM Rios is designated Master Training Specialist, Aviation Warfare, Expeditionary Warfare, and Information Warfare Specialist. She has been awarded the Meritorious Service Medal (three awards), Navy Commendation Medals (three awards), Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medals (five awards) and various unit and campaign awards.
