Navy Identifies Reserve Force Sailor Who Died of Coronavirus-related Complications

FORT WORTH, Texas – Electronics Technician First Class William E. Mathews, age 47, of Lewisville, Texas, assigned to Navy Reserve Center Fort Worth, Texas, died of COVID-related complications Nov. 24.
 
Mathews was admitted to Lewisville Medical Hospital in Lewisville, Texas on Nov. 6.

Our thoughts and prayers remain with the family, shipmates and friends of Petty Officer Mathews during this extremely difficult time.
 
Anyone experiencing COVID-related symptoms is encouraged to seek medical attention immediately.
